Just a reminder that the initial free pixel stand offered by singtel was only for pre-orders re-contract with Data x3 or x4 add-on.

There might be people who opted to re-contract without the additional data x3/x4 add-on thus its only normal they dont get the pixel stand.

But the promotion was changed later on to include everyone who pre-ordered between 10/10 - 31/10, and within the first 1000 pre-orders, which includes everyone who pre-ordered before they amended the promo too. If they mean to omit those that pre-ordered early, they should have stated a different time frame that excluded everyone before that. Just saying.

If it really doesn't apply to those who pre-ordered before they change the promo, they should at least come clean and give a straightforward answer. We can only LLST also since like you said, at the point where we ordered, the promotion was not the same.

But in the end, same conclusion, pre-order at your own peril.

Actually two of my colleagues got their Pixel 3 XL black already. One ordered online on November 1st and the other recontract one from the Suntec tech show.

Just did a quick Wi-Fi speed test with speedtest.net app and found pixel 3 XL speed is stuck below 200Mbps while pixel 2XL is crossing the 300Mbps .
Repeated same test more than 5 times, consistent behavior.

Same app ,same Wi-Fi network, same location of test, same external test servers(multiple of Singapore servers) .. This really puzzles me.

Google really needs to work out their shipping in order not to punish customers who pre-order.

I pre-ordered on 10 Oct and now shipment for the Pixel 3 black 128GB is delayed. I cannot cancel the order, and pple can simply buy from stores or resllers now =.=

Called their hotline and on the CSO end, they cannot even see that the order is delayed, so unable to advise further.

With the screen issues now, totally not looking forward to the late delivery and possibility of having to return the phone.

Yeah but the thing is Google never learns...

Since you're getting the Pixel 3 128GB, you pretty much have no choice but to wait.

Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my Pixel 3 XL...... Argh. Called Google and while the order cannot be cancelled, they offered the option for me to refuse the delivery (refund will then be made at a later stage).

Still thinking whether I should go through the hassle of refusing the delivery and just get one off StarHub.

Those who lack google drive storage might want to consider the Google Rewards Opinion scheme.

I have been using it for more than a year, doing surveys over time gets google play balance credits (expires within a year) which I then use to subscribe for 100GB extra storage and also pay for misc apps on the play store.

I already have it, but don't want to spend for extra storage. Thought about it though in the past.

Now that with Pixel, I can save the money for the storage. I use my money from Rewards for other stuff.

This year the pre-order includes paying in advance for it I suppose?

Maybe they should revert it to last year's way of doing things..

Last year the pre-order was just to reserve a set but no payment was collected etc. Only for reserving a slot to book appointment for re-contract.

Wah loretta, as a guy I'm tempted to get the Pink version too. So chio. Singtel still don't have stock for this and White color as I went to Suntec Techshow.

Side note: Razer phone 2 was smooth like butter.

Generally good but sometimes the color is off, not realistic as the real thing. Still can't believe dark blue can come out as cyan. Light orange comes out very dark shade.

THIS. Hahaha. 2 of my friends, myself included, happily pre-ordered from Singtel on the first day or 2 the pre-order went up. Supposed to get Pixel Stand since within first 1000. Not a peep. haha. Those who order way after us, all happily get SMS to redeem Pixel Stand, some already got theirs liao I believe?

Singtel CSO all giving vague, copy and paste reply. From before the phone launch say just wait for Nov 1st, will get SMS. Then Nov 1st came and went, phone collected, nothing. Message them on FB, they just say if you eligible, rest assured, you'll get the Pixel Stand. As if that reply answers anything. haha. The problem is, we are pretty sure we're eligible, but Singtel refuses to confirm in writing that we are eligible. No SMS, no email, no indication of free Pixel Stand anywhere on our order. From the comments on their FB page, we're definitely not the only ones.

So... yeah. It's not my first time pre-ordering phones, but this has been one of the most tiring experience for sure.
