Wew, you should have just cancelled and purchased it from SingTel or Starhub. The delayed only appeared over the weekend when I questioned the Google Staff on how sure that the delivery could be made by Monday (Today) when there is no shipment notification issued.
Yes I really should have just not re-pre-ordered man. Seems that StarHub is offering a $150-200 discount now when you recontract online, on top of the free Google Home. Google Store, on the other hand, lets you pay additional surcharge of 1% to MasterCard/VISA.

I think we need to talk to them to get things going. It sucks, but its a lesson learnt.

Anyway I read on reddit that Google Taiwan orders are shipping from Singapore. Its seems like they're running a circus delivering this orders.

Yeah, it is sad to hear that. But no choice. They clearly have no clue what is happening.

Re: pixel 3 (non XL) users

All pixel 3 (non XL) users,

can share your experience with the phone? Other than the screen issue, does it also overheats easily? Please share!!!

I'm tempted to get the pixel 3 due to the size.

Call or engage the live chat with them, do not end the conversation till you get a definitive response. Be persistent. :s13:

Woah I just received a notification stating that my order has been shipped from Hong Kong. Delivery date is now 6-7Nov instead of the original 5-6Nov.

Is it really shipping from SG or did the Taiwanese assume it is so because they saw Google's office being in SG? Haha

Not sure. Only thing that concerns me now is my order hasn't shipped! :s13: I feel like I'm the only person left with delayed order.

Should be in the same batch! HAHA. I have receive an SMS from my bank saying that a transaction was done for the phone. Now I need to go and verify if the previous one (transacted on 27th Oct) was voided. :s11:

Same here. I also just received an SMS from my bank notifying that I've been billed.

Think the previous one was a Hold, and this is the real charge. Will check my bank stmt again after a few days to see how much additional surcharge I've to pay.....

I'm hoping the phone will be delivered tomorrow since I'm not working and can be home to receive it. Haha

called bank. They considered as dynamic conversion by MasterCard. Debit card 2.8 percent cc is 1 percent. Sian.

Sent from HUAWEI LYA-L29 using GAGT

I called Standard Chartered Bank , Bank Staff explained the same of Overseas Merchant that operating at Singapore that actually not using SGD as base problem however Bank is going to refund me the balance .

Look like those Visa/Master card agent is no good. How can that issued legal Tax Invoice is not tallied with the Credit Card bill.
All this should be reflected if the actual deal is converted from other currency.

Most Online stores do quote the price is based on XXX currency.
I dont see this problem with Amazon SG.

I copy the top part of the screen to overlay the bottom part using photoshop. can see the slight uneven tint. Actually even without this I could tell the difference liao.

I can't really see the uneven tint. This may be dismissed as falling within the acceptable (and normal) variance.

But then again, it may be more obvious in real life. Anyway, good luck to you still!

haha. yeah. Not everyone's eyesight is the same, and some people are just not as sensitive to slight variance in colour. Like this type of tests (https://www.xrite.com/hue-test

So yeah... they might dismissed it as falling within acceptable variance, which is why i really hate this type of screen issue in particular. Cause it may be acceptable to them, but it might not be acceptable to someone who's sensitive and particular about this type of thing.

Yeah that's the problem with mild display-related issues. What's considered a defect might be a non-issue to others.

So I managed to get my set exchanged at Causeway Point yesterday. Before opening the replacement, the CSO told me they can only do a one-time 1-1 exchange. If the replacement set is still not satisfactory I'd have to go to Google.

Luckily the replacement set is pretty much perfect. The screen is displaying an even tone as far as my eye could see. Made the effort to do the tests there and then even. Really the luck of the draw it seems.

How did you test it? I don't know how to do the test.
:s13:
:s13:

Currently, it looks ok to me.

I used the grey background that Alex posted before:

And also the "Display Tester" app in Google Playstore. Look for the grey/dark grey backgrounds and turn tge brightness down to 30%. Should set the conditions right to pick up any inconsistent colour tones.

your eye sibei good. I cannot see anything.

Haha, in the photos it's probably not that obvious but in person if you look at it long enough you'll notice it. Then again, different people have different visual sensitivity towards such variances.

Did you have to call 1688 before going down?
