Just wondering what antivirus software (that includes phone boost function) are you all using ? Any recommendations?

Too sticky to take out

Sent from HUAWEI Mate 20 Pro Emerald Green using GAGT

Not that difficult to remove, just have to do it slowly and carefully, not to break it.
I've successfully removed the dome glass from my wife's Pixel 3 last night. The glass was pasted last week, got a bit nervous in the application and made a mistake, halo & 'spider web' developed along the left and right side of the glass a day later. Decided to remove and re-apply last night, all is ok now.

Don't use any of that. All you are doing is screwing up your battery life and performance.

My P3's battery seems to be holding well. Although granted I don't really watch YouTube or surf FB the whole time with it. For general surfing, messaging and calling is still fine.

You don't need antivirus, just don't anyhow install suspicious apps. There is no such thing as a ram booster, Android will manage the apps for you, don't need to go bother. You only get viruses if you install weird crap outside of the google store, or inside the store if you go download suspicious apps.

basically those antivirus and memory booster are all scam.

1) the antivirus will cover only the APK package.. as long as u donwload from legitimate sources like playstore and reputable developer.. u should be fine.

antivirus eats up battery life + hogging of ur memory.

2) memory booster force close those apps in the background.. which in return.. u may get delayed messages because android will auto run the app again after a period of time.

so in all.. scam..

I'm back!!!!

From OP6 to Pixel 3.

Reason for the switch.. i find that even with 8GB ram, and those optimization turn off.. apps are still restarting after i switch back to them.

and since SultanXDA (best kernel developer after franco) has already cease developing on OP devices and moving on to Pixel.. i think there are not much kernel or custom roms to lookout anymore.

Anyway i'm happy to be back.. being small = battery size smaller = SOT shorter as well..

oh well. can't be help but to bring powerbank out more often. lol

I think maybe the apps or OS itself is programmed to do that. To think many people still blindly insist on having more RAM :s22:

Everyone reading this thread, please stop using app killers. Assuming no rogue app, these memory freeing app will actually decrease battery life.

excatly, more RAM doesnt mean its faster or better. I mean how fast they want their phone to be, apps restart then just reload the app lo.. hahah

i did a few test though.

its true that Op6 keep more apps in the background rather than Pixel 3.

previously when i was on OP3 (with sultanxda kernel) with just 6gb ram.. i can resume back to app that was launch 1 day ago.

anyway not particularly concern for now.. will find some free time to flash sultanxda kernel and see how things goes.

The new gmail is blinding me. :s13:

But I like the new layout. And looks like they are preparing for a dark mode also. Since new design is all white, so it's easier for them to switch to dark. :s12:
