Seagate as usual is the worst. Glad to have stayed far far away from the brand.

getting hard disk nowadays is like a lottery..

best to go RAID1 to secure your data if it's important.

HGST is still king.

It is quite incomprehensible why WD would phase out the HGST brand when it has such a good reputation.

Bought over HGST basically is to get rid of competititors and gain market shares

I read bros - the Seagate 6 TB and 10 TB drive continue to be solid performers with annualized failure rates of 0.96% and 1.00% respectively. See how it goes.

Hgst noisy right?
Seagate is using smr? Transfer sometimes can be very slow.

No and no

HGST are often said to be noisy but that's because their users often have the 7200rpm drives while other brand users usually bought the 5400 or 5900 rpm drives.

Seagate and WD and HGST all have both SMR and "normal" drives, just check the model before buying.
