Did they bring back variable aperture? @RyanJ ?

Didn't read anything about it.

Probably have to wait till the day of launch ( to be disappointed ☹️ )

Not sure how useful the 'APO', I dun remember seeing much color fringing when zoomed to 4.3x at phone level.

Can it beat vivo 300?

Prob only the "1 inch" sensor.

Tiagong the ultrawide sensor is still smaller.

Hopefully the automatic point and shoot mode exposure metering improves.

more samples from the main cam.

They managed to contain the huge dynamic range of the fire and not overexpose the flame esp with the first shot at a slowish shutter speed of 1/126s. ( Though I would not mind some bits of 'white' in the fire to look more realistic )

But willl need on the ground shots to see.

1st time pivoting to a ( Chinese ) sensor rather than Sony, seems like a win.

Pls let the Ultra wide be a good sensor.

Probably wun be as (big) as the vivo sensor.

While Ai is the next step up from smartphone computational photography, I hope if Xiaomi goes into it in a big way, there is some kind of strength slider or a switch to turn it off.

Like what I mentioned quite some time ago, when smartphone processors are fast enough to add artificial details to a low res photo, there will come a time where the picture is no longer "real". Optical hardware no longer matters as much as it should.

wah the AI enhancements abit too fake on the Vivo tho...needs to randomize and tone down with some graininess..

Looks like XM UW i think will continue to CMI for another generation ...
