Pricing is the main problem.

Mac Mini 2026 with M6 or M5 Pro

Mac Studio with M5 Max or M5 Ultra is great for local AI.

More information about both of the above.

this implies they have control? but we dunno what's the reason what

Of course they do. It isn’t a magical elf in a workshop that runs their supply chain 😅.

Needs IMDA approval but they already got that last week.

Yea sure but still doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a matter of lack of will.

It’s fully in their control. Their website, their preorder system, their inventory.
That presumes you know everything you know in the background.

but the fact that we don’t.

it might be a reasonable hypothesis, but not a verifiable conclusion

Very philosophical and tactful to avoid sharing a point of view.

The only thing in life that is always true, is that nobody ever knows the full background :)

It’s not avoidance. It’s about being logical and rational because nobody can claim they know for sure.

but why need to be so certain about either case?

I think it’s just not right to simply conclude they are not on the ball without knowing the full picture

Hopefully after this post, this thread can go back to proper discussions…

so unfair to Apple SG office unless the member has insider info or too excited to lay hand on the M5 Mac mini soon but is annoyed
