As we are approaching the usual timeline for POCO's X series release, this time round similar to the previous release of X7 series, it might seem to be releasing earlier as per reports.

Poco X8 Pro: Redmi Turbo 5 launch nears as potential features emerge in leak​

Xiaomi's Poco sub-brand usually releases its X-series phones at the start of the year, and that looks set to be the case yet again with the Poco X8 Pro. In fact, new information raises the possibility of the performance-focused midranger arriving earlier than usual this time out.
The Redmi Turbo 5 has already been certified in China ahead of its launch, being spotted at the 3C website bearing the model number "2511FRT34C".
As revealed by multiple leakers, it appears Xiaomi is set to launch the Redmi Turbo 5 in November.
Comparatively, the Redmi Turbo 3 debuted in April, while the Redmi Turbo 4 launched in January. Following the Turbo 5's tipped November debut in China, it's widely expected to get rebadged as the Poco X8 Pro for the global market, likely in January.

New Xiaomi Poco X8 Pro Max struggles in early benchmarks with global launch date revealed​

One of Xiaomi's new Poco X series smartphones has turned up on Geekbench before its upcoming release. To recap, the company confirmed on March 4 that two new Poco X Pro smartphones would soon be launching globally. As we covered at the time, Xiaomi also revealed that these devices would leverage MediaTek's Dimensity 8500 Ultra and Dimensity 9500s chipsets.

Now, the latter variant has surfaced across multiple early benchmarks. All referred to as Xiaomi 2602BPC18G, the model number '2602BPC18G' has already been linked to the retail name 'Poco X8 Pro Max'. On the one hand, the listings confirm that Xiaomi plans to sell the Poco X8 Pro Max with 12 GB of RAM.

Based on other leaks, this will be the only RAM configuration in which the Poco X8 Pro Max will be available.

As per leaked earlier seems notch much upgrades from its predecessor except 1 level-up newer cpu and some "minor" specs-up here and there , so those who manage hoot the X7Pro with the unsexpected 111 off during 11.11 really dan tio and can skip this X8Pro

Alternatively, wait for few mths after release or next 11.11 for "big price drop"

But then again, with all the rife talks and news that they will increase fone prices soon due to consumer chips shortage so dunno whats the lowest it can go even with generous bouchers and discounts

Agreed, we'll have to monitor unfortunately and hope that prices will drop to 11.11 levels after 3-6 months.
I would say that X8 series might still not be affected significantly but anything after whether X or F series should be affected since supplies are stockpiled and produced already for X8 series release.

You wouldn't get 11.11 prices until probably next 11.11. The lowest for 512gb probably will be around 350 after a few months.

Yes, from the recent experiences will strongly advise against PO since the prices will drop significantly to much more worthwhile value.
Especially since not going to miss out much whether in terms of software nor hardware.

Poco phones price drop very fast. Even some models of Xiaomi phones too... Preorder is not attractive enough

Tiagong is X8 Pro and X8 Pro Max

X8 Pro Dimensity 8500 barely an upgrade over X7 Pro D8400
Same A725 cores except clocked a little higher, GPU remained the same(?), then shouldn't be better if at all
Only if X8 Pro comes with sizable upgrade in battery+screen otherwise another stagnant release

X8 Pro Max 9500e(?) dunno how to rate since Dimensity problem never been the soc speed but gpu driver compatibility

We shall see how it goes,. either ways XM & POCO prices don't hold so patience should work further down the road.
Am no longer PO since no advantages and prices drop fast, now with releases not being 1 year in, not going to pay "extra' just to get first.

We’re in Feb 2026 and there doesn’t seem to be any concrete movements for X8 series.
Seems like POCO is pushing back the release schedule.

X7 Pro week 1 was $379 SGD last year

The early bird F8 duo prices also not likely to return anytime soon since that was some perfect storm of many early bird/discount/flash sales/EOY voucher

But the GPU memory is still slightly better than 8 Elite Gen 5. Overall performance is on par based on scores and ratings.
