Indeed you will not get that kind of prcing any time soon with the price hikes of key components like RAM and Storage.

On the other hand, the price I listed may well be much cheaper closer to 10.10 or 11.11 if you have good vouchers from Shopee. There will also flash sale, just not to the S$220 level for the Poco X8 Pro.

Haha, that was because of a special Shopee S$111 voucher for 11.11 last year.
Poco X7 Pro 12GB/512GB at S$242.11 (S$388.11 - S$111 Shopee voucher - S$35 Shop voucher).

My first Poco X7 Pro 12GB/512GB was much more expensive at S$367.90 in early 2025.

Specifically, the X8 appears to be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro, and the X8 Power may be a rebranded Redmi Note 17 Pro Max. There are some very slight differences, but not many.

Finally opened my Poco X8 Pro Max 12GB/512GB version bought in April 2026 from Xiaomi Singapore at S$482.30. Now the price seems to be much higher.

Even though it does not support 6GHz Wi-Fi 7, its 5GHz Wi-Fi 7 speed is very fast when connected to my TP-Link Archer BE805 wireless router.

2264Mbps is one of the fastest download speed I have seen for 5GHz Wi-Fi 7 test results in this forum.

The record Wi-Fi 7 speed in this forum is closer to 5Gbps with Oppo Find X8 Pro and Archer BE805. It uses MediaTek 9400 with up to 7.3Gbps Wi-Fi data rate,
Wi-Fi 7 tri-band concurrency with 5-streams (2x2 + 2x2 + 1x1).

Just got the time to set up my Poco X8 Pro Max even I have got it for some time. It support Wi-Fi 7 but it does not support 6GHz band.

5GHz speed is very fast at close range.

Main router: TP-Link Archer BE805
Wireless client: Poco X8 Pro Max, 5GHz band
Distance: 1m away.

https://www.speedtest.net/result/a/11929540339

The speed will drop to below 2Gbps at 3m distance.

Main router: TP-Link Archer BE805
M1 10Gbps plan
Wireless client: Poco X8 Pro Max, 5GHz band
Distance: 1m away.
