2070 Super running hot in custom loop - help

Hi need some advice from the water cooling gurus


Just upgraded from 1080 to a 2070 super in my custom loop
Prior to this my gtx 1080 ran at full clock speed with at the 60c range under full load in Heaven.
However in the same test, with the 2070 it runs at 83c @ 1000mhz clockspeed?
Is this normal for it to run at such low clockspeed and high temps in a custom loop? Idle is at 45-50c
Could it be a faulty card or something else? Cpu temps are at 60c under load.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Have paste lol. Using the stock ek paste that was given. Using ekwb block.

But for the problem I’m facing its most likely caused maybe by defective gpu block?

Pump working well. Cpu temps are 30c when idle and 60ish on load

make sure ur gpu block is screwed in properly, ur idle very high also sia...my 2080ti doesnt go above 59 on full load and idles at 31

Just to put it there, im using a Nzxt Manta case which is a slightly oversized itx case.

I have 1x 280 rad and 1x 240 rad in push config.
Ran fans(ek vardar) at full speed but to no improvement.
So I would say the limitation is not on my case or loop right?
It boils down to the gpu block that it could be defective or something thats not transferring out the heat right?

ur case, fans and rads are sufficient for ur specs, i would still take a look at your gpu block considering your cpu temps are really good
