Hello all! I've been inactive for a few weeks now.

Here's an update on my building.

MSI Z87-GD65 + Intel i7-4770k
Asus GTX780 DCII
WD 2TB Green
Intel 530 Series 240GB SSD (~S$185 hoot from Amazon)
Crucial Ballistix Tactical 16GB (2x8GB) (~S$156 hoot from Amazon)
Seasonic X Series 850W 80+ Gold Power Supply
Corsair Obsidian 800D (got a new one at S$250 from SLS)
Asus ODD
Cooler Master Hyper 212X
Windows 8 Home

Dell U2312HM 23inch IPS Monitor
CM Storm QuickFire TK Cherry MX Brown
Logitech Headset G430 7.1 Surround

And I kept to my budget of 2.5k excluding peripherals. Total cost is around ~2.9k

The Crucial Ballistix is shipping in tomorrow and I'm very excited.

Blue is more reliable than green. Green is energy saving de. If you are gonna write a lot of data to it, may wear n tear faster than blue. At least frm what i read in diff forums. All recommend at least blue.

Green is perfectly okay to use. I'm using WD Green 2TB for more than a year now, still running fine. As long as the OS is installed on the SSD (Intel 530), the read/write cycles for harddisk data fetching shouldnt be that extensive to differentiate the durability of the blue vs the green in this case.
