290x vs 780Ti in 4K Resolution

Looks like 290x is very competitive in 4K resolution. Its just as fast as 780Ti.

Perhaps, 780ti need some new drivers. In fact Titan and GTX780 don't perform well in 4K resolution.

Really considering the 290x 2 way crossfire. Has anyone done it yet? How is the result? The heat issue is indeed a worry. Can't wait for the aftermarket coolers!

Well, if you are going to run Cf, I don't think you will even think about noise...... Most pple just run water cooling.

I tot long n hard about watercooling.. the tot of adding at least 1k on the wc setup, plus the maintenance and risks really put me off...

May just have to make do with nvidia sli.... but! still want to wait for 3rd party r290 coolers to be out before taking the plunge

Btw there is already a r290x sli review. Google "hardocp r290x sli". The results, if u disregard the jet engine noise, is very very impressive.

nope. its xSLi for AMD and SLifire for nvidia.
