2nd Hand CPU

Hi guys just wanna seek some opinion as my computer recently have lots of problem like getting blue screen and computer freezing.

So, I wanted to purchase a 2nd hand CPU from a LAN shop which was sold by my friend's friend and the spec are listed here. Mind if i ask if the price of $390 is reasonable for such spec or would it be alot better if i top up abit for a new CPU ? I mainly use my computer for dota2 and surfing net only. Thanks in advance

Factoring in the MB, PSU and casing, it looks like a reasonable deal to me.

Hi guys thanks for your reply. My spec are listed below that are bought in 2011.

AMD Phenom II4 955 Processor
4GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450

However i would like something to ask something , my com is freezing very often and i checked my task manager and found the following. I wonder how come when i open Chrome there is so many chrome under the same section and the svchost which made my physical memory can go up to 96%

well chrome is known for its memory hogger, as they will assign each part of your ram for individuals webpage and extension. the purpose of why they do that is because when u have one webpage crash, it won't affect other webpages.

as for SVChosts I dun have any ans for u.

well if u can, buy a 4GB ddr3 ram for your pc.

but I'm not really sure if solve that part of ram issues, another will be probably your pagefile in your hdd is some how corrupted. u can Google it up how to solve it.

thanks for your help. but recently my computer has been making really loud grinding noise when i use it so i really dont know what is going on lol

well amd old cooler is known for it's jet engine cooler, that means the cooler is working hard to cool down your cpu .

8gb value ram (2x4) cost about 50sgd max
gtx 650 about 120sgd max
1tb hdd cheapest 30sgd max.

390 is reasonable if it includes delivery and whole package is a working bundle with casing and power supply.

$220 for that combo is seriously overpriced.

CPU alone is around $120-130, motherboard max $30 nia...

And GPU at most $50..
