and we havent taken into account the rent you would have saved by living in your own house. You are actually paying yourself to live there.

That true. Govt shld change BTO to 4 or 5 rm for Singles & 3 to 2 rm for couples.
As couples are always selling their BTO flats & not using them for staying.
