2tb drive for backup - amazon or SLS?

was wondering which you'd go for.

I checked the pricelists, seems like SLS typical price is around $105 while Amazon is US$40-70.

the saving quite little and only certain brand got international warranty.
amazon need to consolidate above 125USD than got free shipping.
mechanical drive also have higher chances of DOA

Agreed. Makes more sense to source SSDs via Amazon than mechanical drives.

wow 5TB seems like a good deal... <S$200 with external housing

however some of the reviews indicated loud humming noise, meaning this may not be the quietest external drive for use..
