A friend of mine is selling his 3-5 years ago macbook (not sure if pro or not) which he got at a lucky draw for SGD$500 ($374USD).

I know it's a steal.

The problem is, he's not sure which model is it and I'm also not sure. What's the best guess and if so, can it even handle the following?

Intended Use: -Video editing (premiere pro + after effects) -Photoshop -Light audio editing (audacity) -Hardcore browsing (10 tabs open chrome\firefox) -VMWare (maybe to test new cracks\software etc)

Using it mainly for ecommerce work.

Up until last year I was still using my 2007 MBP. Changed it because couldn’t upgrade to Sierra and my SW requires Sierra.

For ecommerce and browsing should not be an issue. I even used it to develop apps.

Video editing, if you are patient maybe still possible. VMware still can albeit slow also, but you’ll need to find the older version.

I also upgraded from 2010 model to 2015 one and using until now. The price you're getting most probably ain't worth it, somemore it's an old model.

A Macbook used for so long usually already have a lot of charge cycles clocked and may not hold charge too well, requiring more frequent charges. Some more you need to factor in any hardware issues as repairing any Macbook is not going to be cheap.

Top left hand corner, there’s an Apple icon. Click that should be able to see the model etc.

Better to get a newer model instead,,, such electronic is degrading each day.. common problems.
