guys when do u turn during TP test must turn back to correct lane right?

I see nearly all the cars turning into lane 2 when they do u turn.

This depends on where you are u-turning.

I remember the deciding factor whether you should turn into lane 2 or lane 1 depends on the size of the center divider

First type:

First type, the center divider is big, so when you do the uturn, your car should follow the radius of this divider, this will result in helping you complete "half of your u turn". Thus you must turn into the 1st lane during the test, after that speed up, slowly filter to the most left lane.

Second type:

Assuming this road allows uturning:
As you can see the center divider is small, even if you full lock your steering wheel the turning radius of the car will usually cause your car to go into the 2nd lane, so you no choice have to turn to 2nd lane.

Also, try to keep your car aligned more to the red line, it will lessen the radius and most probably prevent you from going too close to the kerb after u uturn.

Sometimes i see ppl uturn differently also la, straight cut into 2nd lane(when by right they should turn to 1st) cos they need to do a left turn straight away. But then in TP you must follow rules to pass the test

Here's a tip: keep to the left-most lane by default unless you need to make right turns. So after the U-Turn, filter to the left lane when there is the opportunity, unless your instructor or tester has already told you to make a right-tun at the next junction.

1) practise more and even more

2) bbdc, most of the test routes is kena the wide big u-turn, whereby steering wheel is turn 1 round and car turns into lane 1. must make sure lanes 1 and 2 are clear before turning out

for narrow u-turns, no choice sure will turn into lane 2, must make sure lanes 1,2 and 3 are clear.

i think TS's problem for uturn is the accelerator step too soon, so that car continues turning into lane 1.

3) dunno what is TS's problem, gear 1 first, half clutch and turn steering wheel at the same time shouldn't be too much of a problem.

and please go and read your BT, FT books again..
