3070 build

Hi Hardware Clinic! I'm looking to check out any BF sales to build a 3070-based PC for Cyberpunk 2077 and also to tide me over the next 3 to 5 years as I don't intend to get PS5/XS1X until the "Slim" version. Could I get a few suggestions on a build please? My current PC was built as a mid-range in 2015 so I'm thinking to do a fresh build again.

- Not looking for ray tracing builds, currently playing on an Asus VX series 1080 monitor although I might upgrade late next year
- Looking for 16GB RAM minimum but open to suggestions for 32GB if necessary
- Don't intend to get an Asus 3070, considering MSI or Palit depending on reliability
- Thinking of getting a 1TB NVMe SSD for OS and games as I had problems running Steam off a secondary HDD previously
- Not fussed with chassis at all and can go with cheapest option
- Will use existing keyboard mouse speakers monitors so can save on those
- In general I'd love to be able to run new games over the next few years but I'm not fussed about crazy high graphical quality + high frame rates, 60 fps on High or Ultra High would be lovely

Based on the above, wondering if you guys can suggest a few builds so I could narrow down my parts shopping next week?

If you're going 1440p for your next monitor, better to invest in 3080

NVME SSD: Samsung 970 EVO Plus 1TB - $203 Amazon
PSU: Corsair RM Series RM750 - $174
Case: Coolermaster NR400 - $78
HDD: Up to you if you need

Alternatively just go check out some of Dynacore's offering for full builds on their facebook page. I honestly think they have some pretty good offerings, at least during the time when I last checked it.

If you're going 1440p for your next monitor, better to invest in 3080

If he is not fussed about highest settings, 3070 might suffice. It's still a $300 difference between the median price of 3070 and 3080.

Thank you everyone! These will greatly help point me in the right direction for parts, especially stuff like the PSU and mobo which I'm pretty damn clueless about.

P.S. I think I'll get the 3070 now and upgrade again in the future if it really doesn't hold up, kind of want to work within a budget now. Thabks for the thoughts tho!

If you're on a budget, mobo is one area where u can overspend easily. Consider your options carefully, dont be like me hahhaa.

Definitely 16gb ram since mid range.
Samsung Evo Plus 970.
Chassis since can be reused forever, go choose 1 u like cause u be facing it all day.
PSU can reuse?

I typically wouldn't reuse a PSU over 7 years old. I had a corsair AX860 that I used for about 6.5 years. Recently built a new rig and got a new PSU to go with it.

Passing the 860 to my dad as he is running only a cpu, no GPU.
