an interesting perception
have wondered many times also how representative is this forum or even the country of users of 32mb ram is for manufacturers to produce 32gb ram if there is no demand
bill gates did say "640K ought to be enough for anybody."
While I never deny that there are demand for memory of 32GB or more, I won't believe that there are more people requiring 32GB or more in any countries. Consumer PCs run perfectly well with 16GB or lower.
So then why are manufacturers making 32GB for the consumer market?
1) why not since they make more money?
2) preying on more is better mentality
Genuine demand is when I often run out of ram, and thus, require more of it for my computer to operate optimally. Manufacturer made demand is to come buy more when you don't need it, just because its available and/or affordable.
This is no different between a need and a want.
