Hi, in a dilemma for either processor...read several reviews and seems like these 2 are pretty on par with each other. Which will you choose?
Do you guys upgrade your CPU alone or motherboard alone?
Else no need to care about future compatibility right
In the past, it was always both together but seems like my ,3 year old motherboard can be used for Ryzen 5000 so I won't change my board this time

Maybe see 3-4 months down the road the newer rocketlake gen cpu more powerful and tempted to get. At least you wont have to change the mobo if you are on current 400 chipset for intel (i think so lah).
Amd, probably will need to change cos it is rumored to be the last gen on am4
Tiagong rocket lake is LGA1200
Yup, thats why i mentioned that the upcoming rocketlake probably dont require a mobo change. Either way the suggestion is to determine the actual use case.
Got budget and gaming more = just whack intel
Got budget and work more = whack highest end amd
No budget and gaming more = whack amd
No budget and work more = whack amd
Not in a rush since my i7 6700 still serving me well. Me not a hardcore gamer but I only play FPS so wonder if my current cpu bottleneck my gpu (rtx2080)
