bangkok ... more flight frequencies compared to others ...
Bangkok you have more choices, hence the price would be competitive ...

For phuket, now silkair having 129sgd onwards promo ... else you can fly budget airline, if promo, is about 75+ onwards two way nett taxes in ...

For bangkok, you can look into cathay $188 , selected travel dates, thai airways about $205 onwards, singapore airline $228 onwards ... diff travel dates, gives diff prices ....

if oct to dec, prices is about 80+ to 100+

But the sea is rough, therefore difficult to have sea activities. Unless very lucky no rough sea when you are there.

I think drowning happen during rouge sea condition. When a red flag is on the beach, meant do not swim, but some people don't care that why drowning happen.

Chiangmai 4D3N is enough, quite a lot of activities you can do. All the activities can be decided on spot at the travel agency.

Chiang Mai, have to take into consideration the air ticket fare ...
Tiger two way is about 200sgd already ...

bkk would be better choice, as more flights going there.
Cathay to bkk is only about $ 188 ...
airasia jetstar if good promo can get below 78sgd two way nett taxes in
