4D3N - Please help to decide hotel

Hi.

I will be going to taipei from 17-20 Oct with 3 other adults (including my elderly parent).

Shortlisted these 3 hotels (1 family room for 4 pax)

1) Amba Taipei Ximending - $600++
2) Cosmos Hotel Taipei - $500++
3) Hotel Midtown Richardson - $400++

Can the experts here advise which would be a better choice?

I've stayed in cosmos a couple of times, a bit old but still quite nice, and it is close to the underground mall and mrt entrance, very convenient. Serves excellent breakfast buffet too.

Thanks! It does look old in the pictures as compared to the other 2 hotels.
However it has the best reviews in TripAdvisor if i have not mistaken.

I prefer cosmos too... Cos near main station... Bus from airport can access directly without taking mrt again... Raining oso not scared cos can go underground shopping...

Tt time I book triple room for my mum and her sisters they got upgraded to a bigger room... Breakfast is good too...

I stayed at Midtown Richardson back in April. Location is right smack beside XMD mrt station. Not sure what are your considerations but XMD might have more food around to eat in case you all get hungry.

TS, I booked midtown Richardson and going in nov! However I think this hotel is still fairly new and doesn't offer any breakfast buffet or facilities.

Yeah. I read some reviews and it appears that certain part of the building is still undergoing renovation which is quite strange to me.

The front is not facing the metro entrance. You have to go in by back door. If go front front, it is a detour.
