Really appreciate the effort put in here - always good to have independent testers making sure things are up to snuff.

small complaint though - your conclusion....is not a conclusion leh, more like a disclaimer.

The disclaimer is definitely needed to put the information into context...but then we'll still need a conclusion after that yes?

So, it should have ended with "....and with that in mind, we felt that xx seemed to have faster real world downloads than yy, while zz was neither here nor there. ww's reception seem to be more prevalent...." etc etc etc.

you get the picture :)

Hi shadowoflight,

Thanks for your thoughts and we're glad the article was of assistance.

You're right that we didn't actually derive at a conclusion ;)
This is because all three telcos are constantly eeking out improvements to their network services and it's a known fact that the results we've obtained are really just a snapshot of the performance at that point of time.

Also, this is the first time we or anyone else for that matter of fact has conducted a truly independent test (everything else to-date and from other media are based from SIM cards supplied knowingly for the purpose). As such, it's a bit too early conclude the victor based on one round of tests. We do plan to conduct these tests every few months and by doing so, we can get a better idea of the leading service provider by factoring more data points to see the average.

So for this time round, we just highlighted those that scored better. :)

As for the noted of disclaimers, my colleague Sidney answered another member on this point over here:-

Cheers!

Vijay.
