Hi guys

Are there any pitfalls in investing in income funds on a long term horizon? Some such as Blackrock's is declaring monthly dividends at 5.5% p.a. I am also looking at Eastspring's.

Look closer how much the management and other fees e.g. front end, sales fee are .. does not make any sense if they promise dividend of 5.5% but total fee 2 - 3% or more .. better go with index funds .. fee is very low, typically less than 0.5% ..

some questions you have to ask yourself: do they show the portfolio they have? if not the companies then at least the sectors? what are the risks involved? what are the fees and hidden costs?

personally I prefer to invest in individual blue chips I select, and balanced it with FDs and the upcoming SSB. previously I used to buy unit trusts online but after fees only earn about 1-2% :s22:

dont be hard up over dividend, especially those from actively managed funds

they simply drawdown the capital to give you dividend

and the yield is probably projected based on market performance

safer way will be to invest in preference shares or investment grade bonds

Exactly, dividend are simply drawn down from capital. It doesn't mean a thing for any company and fund to give a high dividend.

Here is confirm working method to get into elite investment banking. No need elite Ivy league MBAs

Here is how to easily backdoor yourself into elite investment banking. 100% confirm work. No need networking or ivy league MBAs/CFA/ACCA/CPA. Its about showing tangible results where it really matters.

1) do investment yourself for at least 5 years. Make sure your investment returns more than 20% CAGR. Make sure your equity curve is nice, dont have much draw down. Make sure you log all your investments and leave audit trails.
2) Write "achieved 20% CAGR on personal investments with low draw downs. Track records available on request." on your resume. Plot your equity curve on your resume.
3) During interview, instead of them interview you, become you interview them. You can guai lan say "I make 20% CAGR myself, why should I come and work for you? What have you got to offer me?"

Just imagine you ish the interviewer. Surely u will hire someone with this kind of proven results right?
This method is not from me. This method ish taught by this shu shu.
He last time in goldmen sachs interview ppl and this is how he screen out candidates.

And as I said to you last time you posted this rubbish: I used to interview people for junior roles on the FX desk. If anyone had pulled this stunt in an interview with me, I'd have said "that's nice then, good luck with your trading, the door's that way".

This method is not "100% confirm work". It's a 100% confirm way to make people think you're an asshole who they don't want to hire.

Don't ever post this again.

For real? Jim Rogers is shilling shitty Brazilian real-estate scams? That's disappointing.

For real, unless they manage to find a lookalike and market his name big big on the poster, even to the point of showing him giving speeches live at Marina Mandarin. My friend attended and took a picture with him. Pardon my laziness to post it here.

Of course I wonder as much as you did. Then I start to take an interest in this scheme. It's the usual we buy the land with the money raised and develop it and sell away at very high returns.

The thing is, no one really knows if its a scam until the house of cards break down. Oh, they even manage to get insurance to cover your capital, but the insurer is overseas in China...:s22:

Investing with a peace of mind

Hi all, if you have been looking to invest/save or even park your money somewhere and let it grow with good returns, I can advise you on a reliable and flexible plan which allows you to invest with a peace of mind.

You get up to a 55% top up of your initial first year investment as a bonus and returns based on past performance have been good and promising. You also get access to a wide range of international funds managed by reputable fund managers. The company you are investing into is credited AA- by SMP and very reliable with a high Capital Adequacy ratio. If you would like to know more, send me a pm and I am happy to discuss further.

At the end of the day, we have more choices and can make better decisions when we have more information in our hands :)

Hi all,
At the end of the day, we have more choices and can make better decisions when we have more information in our hands :)

Firstly, tell me your returns can beat the market, if not please advise folks to invest in index, much much much safer and get better returns with minimum effort.

No need pm me, I can declare all the details here big big for anyone interested, but want to pm me also can. I direct you to easily earn market returns, that is anything from 8-10%+. Safer than all these cannot disclose top secret pm investment which likely can't stand up to public scrutiny.
