500mb wifi plan help

I out of no choice has to upgrade to a 500mb wifi plan and got some questions. My asus RT-N12 wifi router only has a transfer rate of 300mb and my pc wifi module has a transfer rate of 433mb, can i still use ?

Name of your pc WiFi module?

By right should be can use, just that your router bottleneck the speed

You are never gonna get the full speed on WiFi, period.

At most 40% of the speed, if you are lucky.

Your mobo WiFi chip is Intel AC3168, so not really a high end chip. You can replace it with a AC9260, but it might void your warranty.

depends on what u use it for, & how many pple use it in your home.

Given, that you "out of no choice upgraded to 500mbps", then you wont need that fast speed, neither is demand in your house requires it.
dont bother go upgrading components, not only is it a never ending rabbit hole, you as a typical user will not feel any difference at all.
