55"Inch TV Recommendations

Hi, it seems like awhile since i joined the TV forum as my 7years old 49"LG UTV just shown some flickering and i thought it might be a good time to source for a new budget one. I did a quick scan thru and seems like the popular brand now are mostly Prism/Xiaomi and the less known Iffalcon & Hisense(at least to me). Any suggestions? For me i dont really need a good one since mostly used by the kids on youtube and for me only on weekend drama/footballs.

These are what i have shortlisted for 55" but please feel free if you have better alternatives less than $1K.

Xiaomi P1$649 but no stock at Xiaomi offical store
Prism Q55 $699 vs Pro $849 but no stock at the moment
Iffalcon K71SG $789
Hisense A7G $759
TCL P635/P735 $749/849
CHiQ U55G7N $569 cheapest so far

TCL P635 about $734 (after Shopee discount). Just release 2022 model with Google TV.

I bought the PRISM+ Q55-QE PRO recently. It’s available but price went up. $849 after Shopee discount. 2021 model. Primary reason I bought this because it’s the only brand under 1K that is Viu compatible. You can read my comment-cum-reviews-and-updates somewhere in this display forum.

Thanks I dont need Viu so PrsM+ is not a must. But curious why P735 not consider?

At less than 1K for 55 inch, you can go for QLED TV.

Thanks but Hisense but not in my list since it not Google TV but I will make a trip down to Courts to take a look.

Hisense has Google Tv as well.

These are good. Originally I shortlisted these as well but now I topping up a bit to get QLED instead. Looking at C725 or C635.

Prism tv not bright enough and they provide minimal specs.

PRISM+ 55AL is a good OLED TV.

Only issue is that it is a bit hot.
