Have anyone encounter their iphone when charging cable plugged in, showing lightning icon, but percentage not moving at all?

Will a battery replacement solve the problem , or something more to it?

it is for my kid. screen just replaced for $270 @ A/lab, then now battery!!

The last time I had that issue, the service center needs to replace the unit. How recent is the replacement of the screen? Could it be it was affected by that? If so, then you can go back to them as fixes have additional warranty, IIRC.

THe replacement was less than 3 months ago. How likely will the replacement of screen will affect the battery I wondered, and even if it is, think they will rather see that as a isolated case and charged me for another repair. But thank for telling, will still give them a call
