5s suddenly can't charge

plug in original or 3rd parties lightning cables no use at all

suddenly happened

PS: i've been using 3rd party wall plug when i charge using it my 5s will hang but once plug out it worked

Use the original cable and plug and see if the prob solve.
If u use a 3rd party cable, they know and they unwilling to change for you.... But for plug they not able to detect. Hopefully urs under warrenty

AFAIK, 3rd party wall plug/cable might not work properly after iOS 7 update, think it's mention in some thread here.

Try charging with original wall plug & cable. Might wanna do a hard reset as well..

just use orginal plug la.

u use third parties charger will spoil ur port or battery as they do not handle the output voltage properly.

if ur orginal plug does not work. go to singtel or m1 or starhub and exchange for a new plug lor.easy

3rd party chargers won't have a problem as the current is controlled by the controller in your iphone. Hence why you can leave your phone to charge overnight and yet it doesn't explode. The controller knows that the battery is full and stops charging. Likewise, it will limit the current from the chargers. Sometimes, getting 3rd party chargers that support higher amperage decreases charge time while not damaging the phone in any way.

u are wrong. i read an article bat apple use. the lightning cable will detect which device u are using and control the current from there as well.

by increasing the current to allow the phone to charge faster is not a wise way. if that works, y not apple just give us a 10v charger instead of 1.5v(i think so)? chragge time will be greatly reduce.

there are reason why they are controlling the voltage input.

those for third party does not control the current and damage ur phone batter.

That's on the assumption that the 3rd party chargers were of equal or higher build quality with the necessary protection & regulating circuitry, else Apple wouldn't have implement the "3rd Party Charger Exchange Programme" in the first place..

The original charging cable also contains circuits and authentication chip, which most 3rd party cable likely to "by-pass" thus giving error/warning when used.

That said, whether is it worth taking the risk is entirely up to you..
