Anyone facing this problem? Back camera can't focus on far object despite tapping on screen at the main subject but pictures taken at about one arm length is sharp. Checked online and its a common hardwear problem. Have to send it in for a camera change or handset replacement.

how do they check the camera? do they replace 1:1 factory set for this ?

They check if they can focus themselves?

They only do 1 to 1 refurbished set exchange

And they might be able to repair it, they repaired my friend's rear camera in a few hours

Just did my repair at Changi service Center. They change the camera in 2hrs under warranty. Got the phone back. according to them this is a different camera, should not happen again. If warrenty over its $126 IIRC. That's my wife's phone now I am worried that my camera will need replacement after the 1 year warrenty...

Remember to backup the phone as they need to wipe out all its memory for the data protection law.
