Any cards also can game at 1440P. It's just what games you are playing, what settings you willing to go.
Tell that to the GT 730!Any cards also can game at 1440P. It's just what games you are playing, what settings you willing to go.
Okie my bad, i should have said at least a 1660/1060.Tell that to the GT 730!Though I have seen the GT 730 doing Metro Exodus at 800x600 and 720P with just about every video setting on low. 1440P is gonna be a bit of a stretch for the GT 730 even with all video setting on low. For eSport games like PUBG, Fornite, etc, it might get the job done, but with reduced visuals as well.
It's just marketing nonsense, that strategy of tagging 1080P and 1440P for the RX 6600 XT and RX 6700 XT respectively. Prices of cards are just nuts now, I was smarting from the 'pain' of paying about S$1150 for the Sapphire RX 6800 back when it was first launched here. I think you can't even get an RX 6700 XT for that price....or, perhaps just enough for an RX 6700 XT, but the RX 6800 is just leagues above the RX 6700 XT in performance.I agree with what you mentioned about why AMD is not marketing the 6600 XT as a 1440p card. But frankly speaking, they don't have to tag every card to a specific resolution to begin with. Like you don't have to call out that a card is suited for 1080p or 1440p, etc. For the top end, I think from a boasting standpoint, most GPU makers will say that it is suitable for 4K or 8K.
As to the price premium, I think it is possible to buy a RTX 3060 Ti in the 900+ bucks range. If the RX 6600 XT is available at over 800 bucks, it may not be that attractive. Of course that all depends on an individual's budget. The funny thing is that less than a year ago, I was determine to get the AMD's RX 6800 XT reference card at below 1K. Fast forward to now, the low end card is sitting on the price of the RX 6800 reference card, and about 100 bucks away from the reference card pre-order I made.![]()
Same same, damn glad I have RTX3090, and tried undervolt seems like negligible difference to performance. Switch on all the ray tracing cos if not why buy the most expensive flagship card. It's just marketing nonsense, that strategy of tagging 1080P and 1440P for the RX 6600 XT and RX 6700 XT respectively. Actually pretty glad I have the RX 6900 XT now, it's a damn powerful card and should see me through the next couple of years at least. What I'd like to see is more game with RT using FSR as well, like RE Village. I'd have liked to play Metro Exodus EE with RT + FSR, but since the devs are knee deep in DLSS, that is damn near impossible now. Still, I'd love to see FSR implemented into more RT games, that's where the RX 6000 series cards need that extra boost in performance. BTW, I don't play RE Village with FSR + RT as my card is good enough with RT enabled @3840x1080 at about 100fps.
For Metro Exodus EE, you should consider using their in house TAA upscale. I think it works well enough. It's just marketing nonsense, that strategy of tagging 1080P and 1440P for the RX 6600 XT and RX 6700 XT respectively.
