What makes me thinking when I can leave asap is when I'm seating next to or near to egoistic, arrogant, attention-seeking people who also easily lectures and talks down on others.

Recently attended one and what made it worse was that this elderly man in his 70s was the groom's father. Made it very difficult for guests to ignore and/or give superficial attention/face with his behavior.

I am just seated a few times with table of strangers that dunno each other.
It is awkward when the dishes were served.
