1st trip to Taipei. Already book Airbnb at ximendeng for 7 days. Traveling with parents Father got abit of walking difficulty.

Day 1 Ximending

Day 2 jiufen/shifen (thinking weather to book klook shuttle bus but might be quite rush due to father walking difficulty?)

Day 3-7 no plan

Come suggest place of interest to visit.

Your father walking difficulty, better hire a private driver, the driver can drive you from point A to B to C....
Places to go with hire driver for day trip:
Juifen and shifen area
Miaoli
Yilan and jiaoxi (hotspring)

Places in Taipei can take mrt to save cost. Not all mrt exit got lift or escalator, but there should have at least 1 lift in mrt station. e.g ximen station exit 2 only stairs, exit 6(if I rmb correct) have lift and some part have escalator.

Acceptable price.
But if walking difficulty, can use wheelchair boh?

Breakdown for you.
Day 1 xmd.
Day 2 jiufen/shifen choose one good enough if time does not permit.
Day 3 jiaoxi/yilan or Danshui/fisherman wharf.
Day 4 visit museums at shilin
Day 5 shopping at xinyi district plus some coffee joints.
Day 6 shopping where you need to do.

yeliu is to see the queen's head ... went twice before ...
not going there again ...
have to walk to see the rock statue ...
lots of ah tiongs there also ...

when u queue up to take pic, they would just simply cut queue ...

These 3 places are close by. Yeliu is worth it, queen head is getting destroy by weather, so sooner you go the better.
End of the day can go night market at Taipei.

Now Taiwan is very hot, can skip hotspring.
3500ntd market rate.

Yehliu not so good if u walk got problem.
So go shifen, jiufen, houtong, pingxi and nanya rocks.
If got extra time, end at keelung night market.
Can take bus or train back to taipei main station.

Need to fully utilised le because medium bus rental not cheap haiz

the one that would take 1 to 2hours should be at jiufen ...
if have time, can go jinguangshi, just some mine place , turned into attraction now

shifen waterfall don't need to pay entrance fee, it's free.

Last visit to tw for me was 5yrs back le that time i went jiufen but was rainin so didnt explored much so gonna spend more time there this time

Thanks to all for your recommendation. Just came back from Taiwan.

1 week trip it rain 5 out of 7 days..
Was expecting hot weather but rain does cool down temperature..
