1st trip to Taipei. Already book Airbnb at ximendeng for 7 days. Traveling with parents Father got abit of walking difficulty.

Day 1 Ximending

Day 2 jiufen/shifen (thinking weather to book klook shuttle bus but might be quite rush due to father walking difficulty?)

Day 3-7 no plan

Come suggest place of interest to visit.

Jiufen had a slope gradient of approximately 15deg or more.
Your dad will have problem them. The lanes are narrow and crowded.
It is not a die-die-must-go place, over-hyped. most elderly are quite fond of Sky Lantern. PingXi and Shifen are the only place at northern part.

Tamsui for traditional items elderly may like, tea leaves, famous dried toufu snacks, TCM herbs.

Above are out of town (outside taipei city).

In Taipei city, try the National Museum.
See some artifact from ancient china, literature collections from Ming/Qing Dynasty. Just few rooms and very spacious.

Visit Chiang Kai Sek Memorial Hall, the green govt trying erase CKS from Taiwanese public places, soon the tourist-popular entertaining provost guards display will soon be a memory.

LongShan temples always been popular with the elderly asian tourist.
Near Carefour Hypermart, can buy cheap grocery and tidbits to bring back SG. Another Temple at XMD is tian hou gong.

Recently all night markets (Shilin, XMD, Raohe) seems to be having same speciality foods. No need to visit all, just 1 or 2 of bigger ones.

klook had hop-on double decker bus deals for 2 tourist routes u may consider for groups with elderly.
