fake monks, Tissue sellers, ah bengs asking for" donations" for so called charity all line the exits and entrance area of the temple. But the temple management also don't seem to do anything. Issit because that area is under the government jurisdiction that's why they can't ban people from touting or??? If the area is under government responsibility to manage and clear these touters or scammers then why are they not solving a problem that has been around for so long?

Also monks going on their alms round can only ask for food and not anything monetary related. If they are asking for " donation" in the form of money you can safely assume they are not real monks.

The temple cannot do anything if they are outside..
it is for the porice and town council to get rid of them

Temple will have a mgmt group to manage everything including the money. The mgmt group in my temple is voluntary work done by buddhists.

That is taiwan, you check taiwan law, see monks or nuns can prosecute or not.

Last time at 4 horse road temple got some beng ask me donate 10 dollar to buy rice to the needy.
I ask him to follow me to cold storage at bugis that I buy 10 kg rice he walk off.

i no longer go to that temple because the street outside is full of scammers

No bmw. There are 2 monks in my temple, one of them is my shifu. They dun drive n temple mgmt never give them a car. When I go other temples for events, I dun see any monks or nuns drive bmw.

What so big deal about having hp? It is not an expensive item. My shifu uses his pc to prepare lecture notes n watch/listen to other monks lectures. Buddhism doesn't mean we need to cut off from internet, there are plenty of good buddhism videos n scripts out there.
