Lol have you seen what amdk like google and apple did with camera processing vs sony/nikon/olympus/canon, despite decades of experience.

Now for most people even phones tiny camera lens and sensor can fight with dslr. See no more fad of people carrying dlsr liao.

Also, streaming and 4k digital media quite new so sony tv decade tech no use unless you watch broadcast tv / low res video lol.

How does it compare with TCL C835?

Trying to get a 75" mini-Led TV with under $4k budget to be used in a very bright living room. So OLED's out.

Seemed like only Chinese brands at this price point with the mini-LED technology.

For 75", seemed like it's Hisense U8H vs TCL C835 vs TCL C935 to compare at this budget.

If the lens of a phone camera works for you, that's great.
For those who can discern the difference, there is a vast difference. But the DLSR camera is heavy, so each has it's merits.
Again, with regards to TV quality, it's a blessing if you find the basic sets sufficient. Great for the wallet.

If the lens of a phone camera works for you, that's great.

Depend on what you mean by basic. Imo tcl mini led range are not basic and is comparable to the likes of sony but yeah their lower end range definitely not world beater but it’s still great value.

Depend on range. Tcl mini led is just as good but tcl lower / medium end sure cannot fight. Sony and samsung higher end also definitely better cause got oled.

A question only you can answer. Best way to decide is to go down to see the two TVs in person in order to see if it's worth the $1K difference.

For me, it's not, coz I'm a poor guy aiming only for a mid-range TV i.e. the C835 is already quite a bit above my needs; and I believe while C935 looks better, it's not '$1K better'.

Do you know of any physical shops in Singapore will have both the C835 and C935 on display currently? I went to Giant Hypermart at Suntec and NTUC Xtra at Kallang and they don't seemed to have it on display.

The specs for the C935 looks rather superior compared to the C835. 7680 leds vs 1440 leds and 2500 nits vs 1500 nits seemed like quite a bit of difference in brightness.

2,499 is for the 65” C935. C935 doesnt come in 55” . Just clarify with the salesman from smart tech. Currently on the fence of getting either a 65” C728 or all out for the C935, as when i went down to test the C728 against the C825, honestly i felt the C728 colour looks more bright when both are on the same setting.

Any ideas about the C935 75" lauch price last July/August?

The 65" C935 is now $2699 after all the generic shop discounts. So maybe just $200 difference now because of inflation?

My worry is that the C845 prices may be more expensive than last year's launch price because of inflation.

All the major brands' flagship models this year is about 15%-25% more expensive than last year's models.
