Hi! need some advice. planning to get one these card for video editing as well as gaming. i know the 970 is definitely the better card but if the main concern is video editing, is it worth the extra money to get the 970 if both cards have the same amt of video memory for the model i am looking at?

IMHO, its better to go for GTX970. I don't think VRAM matters for video editing.
