then must think of reasons of not reaching on time... be prepared for punishments...=:p

not like working life... got punch cards / need scan cards and so on...=:p
To be honest it depends on the unit actually.

Pray you get into 8sir as security trooper (combat). After passing the 6 weeks course, most army camps are stay out provided you get posted there.

I was B1L1, and was 8-5. Went through SISPEC after BMT.

Need to be ultra heng. My batch mates all posted to platoons to be sect comds, while I was posted to HQ to be ops spec. Everyday sit in ops room and do clerical work while my batch mates chiong sua. Best part is, I received the same allowance as them! :s22::s22:

PS: Ops spec usually not for PES A/B1L1 to get posted to. Usually the OOC/downpes during SISPEC will get if they heng enough to remain as "specialist". But of course no combat allowance also la.

I loved shift work during ns. night shift essentially you can do your own thing (study, read newspaper, talk cock sing song with unit mates, watch ancient 90s reruns on tv, even play app games - this never existed in my time) and enjoy the quietness of the night. best part is you get the full day off the following day. Not that bad assuming you don't have any siao on specs or officers assigned for duty on that night.
The days will fly pass when you do shift work and before you know it time to ord already.
