Hey guys, can you give me some recommendations for a $800+/- gaming rig? Need OS, no need keyboard, mouse and monitor.
I was thinking of uninstalling Win 8 on my laptop and reinstall the original Windows 7 that it came with it and use the Windows 8 for this desktop, is it possible? Will they detect I have install the OS in more then 1 PC?

Was thinking of getting this:

i3 3220 + AsRock B75M-DGS = $212
G.Skill PC3 1333 DDR3 4GB = $36
Seagate 500GB SATA 3 = $62
FSP Raider Silver 550W = $78
Gigabyte GTX660 OC 2GB DDR5 = $283
Sharkoon T5 = $63
Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit = $110

Total = $844

*All prices taken from Tradepac

If the Windows 8 is retail license, should be no problem. If the Windows 8 came with the laptop (OEM license) then might have issues.

Any recommendations build from PCThemes pricelist? I know Tradepac is cheap but I heard their service is not really up there and this is my first time building my own PC :)

Using Nippon's post as baseline, you'll need to fork out around $30 more for the CPU/mobo bundle (PCT has 3470, not 3450) and $10 more for a 500GB HDD according to PCT pricelist. Add another $10 if you'd like them to assemble it for you.
