I was curious why this particular incident is so sticky and as if it's the only massacre ever happened in modern days? So I called my friend Chat and it list out these table:

🟢 Summary: Reconciliation Overview

CountryAcknowledgmentApologyJusticeReconciliation Effort
Rwanda✅ Partial⚠️ Implied⚠️ Controversial✅ Strong, top-down
South Africa✅ Full (TRC)✅ Yes⚠️ Limited✅ Famous model
Indonesia❌ No❌ No❌ No⚠️ Grassroots only
Sudan (Darfur)⚠️ Limited⚠️ Limited⚠️ ICC only⚠️ Fragile progress
Cambodia✅ Yes (tribunal)❌ No✅ Some⚠️ Mixed
China (Tiananmen)❌ None❌ No❌ No❌ Actively repressed

📝 Final Thought:

Only a few states have sincerely attempted reconciliation, and even then, justice is often partial or symbolic. Tiananmen remains one of the starkest examples of complete denial and silence.
