I was curious why this particular incident is so sticky and as if it's the only massacre ever happened in modern days? So I called my friend Chat and it list out these table:
Only a few states have sincerely attempted reconciliation, and even then, justice is often partial or symbolic. Tiananmen remains one of the starkest examples of complete denial and silence.
Summary: Reconciliation Overview
| Country | Acknowledgment | Apology | Justice | Reconciliation Effort |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Rwanda | ||||
| South Africa | ||||
| Indonesia | ||||
| Sudan (Darfur) | ||||
| Cambodia | ||||
| China (Tiananmen) |
Final Thought:
