Hi, need some advise here. This coming october will be my 2nd trip to Taiwan. My first trip last year only went to Taipei. For this time round, thought of going to Taichung for 2 days. However I more into shopping and eating and not really into sight seeing . So is it advisable to go to Taichung or should I just rot at Taipei? Thank you!

I'm more into shopping too! Planning to go Taichung on my second trip there in July. Yi Zhong Jie and Feng Jia night market is a must-go if you are into shopping.

Honeydew Hotel near Taichung TRA station. I read some reviews that normally couples go there to make out. Haha.. But traveling with friends and they want 4 pax in a room and manage to find this hotel that fits our requirement at a cheap price.

If only two pax, I believe most people will recommend City Inn Taichung. Modern, cheap and pretty popular. You can book via their website.

Even get 2 rooms for 2 pax also considered okay in Taichung. I remembered City inn price was like 1600-1700NT per room. And each level is different theme as well.

City Inn is nearer to the TRA? Then would need take transport to Fengjia NM? I tot of staying near Fengjia NM if really going Taichung.

Quite a distance from Fengjia. Need to take cab or bus. I think bus is around 30mins? If you want to stay near Fengjia, can consider Le Parker. I'm not sure if tomato room is still around.

Yah 2 rooms for 2 pax is still cheap. But my friends prefer 4 together so can drink and etc at night.

I dunno about u guys but I rather stay near taichung tra although it's 30mins from fengjia cos the key to me is hw far I have to carry all the stuff when I'm checking out to go elsewhere..

Ya. This is also 1 of the factor. If I take HSR from Taoyuan, I still need to take transport to Taichung TRA right? As most of the hotels are located there.

If touchdown early, why not just tra from taoyuan to taichung instead of hsr.. Can even take a bus direct if u wan..

if i planning to go to cingjing early in the morning from taichung taking the nantou bus? better to stay near the hsr? which hotel would you recommend ?

For me, after I touched down from TY, took HSR to TC.From TC HSR took cab to In One City Inn located at FJNM area. Cab fare was about NTD 250-280. It was a Sat night so paid NTD 2700 for 2 pax with breakfast.

As we reached evening, we just walked out and was slowly strolling towards the main area of FJNM. Lots of food around. 7-11,Family Mart, all nearby.


Next morning, Ego bus fetched us at lobby of In One City Inn at about 10.45am to go Cingjing. Paid NTD 550 per pax.

Hot only n not so humid like Singapore... Holiday then can have blue skies n some clouds for perfect shot condition. If lain come, cannot even go outdoor which is even worse.
