why call it accidental?

u dont accidentally get pregnant. it takes five good minutes of foreplay and another five long minutes of intercourse

none of these is accidental and is purposefully seeking pleasure.

wtf is creating life and irresponsibly calling it accidental

According to ger post, her husband died in an accident last year, leaving her to raise their five-year-old son alone. Her mother-in-law had passed away early on.

Her father-in-law, heartbroken over the loss of his son, often visited the woman and grandson.

Here's when things took an unexpected turn. The woman recalled her father-in-law being drunk one day, and "in the spur of a moment", the two had sex. The woman later found out she had "accidentally gotten pregnant".

After finding out his daughter-in-law was expecting his child, the older man promised to take full responsibility, and insisted the woman keep their baby.

However, the woman felt conflicted about the situation.

"If the baby is born, would they address [my father-in-law] as grandpa or dad?" she wrote. "This struggle with identity makes it hard for me to face the way our relatives and friends, and society will view us."

The woman confessed that she does not have the heart to put her unborn child through the judgement they will undeniably face. She is also afraid that their family and loved ones would be unable to accept the truth, and that it would affect their relationship with her son.

Legally this is a no go even if they want to formalise this 'union".
In SG a father cannot marry his son's widow because it is legally considered a prohibited relationship, falling under a lineal relative by marriage. The law prohibits marriages between individuals with a relationship through marriage (lineal relatives by marriage) and close collateral blood relatives.
Here's the breakdown:
Lineal relatives by marriage, also known as affinal kin in the direct line, are individuals connected through a marriage that forms a direct relationship, such as a father-in-law and a daughter-in-law. For instance, if Person A is married to Person B, then Person A's father becomes Person B's father-in-law, creating a lineal relationship by marriage between them. So they cannot marry if Person A passes on.

So accept the FIL's offer of $$ support and continue the charade that he is both kids grandpa. Anything else will be awkward. Agree that the IVF explanation works best here.

In this case dun need to think so much one. I dunno why need to complicate things.

Her son with the hubby call her mummy, call the granddad, grandad.

The son with the granddad call him dad and call the woman mum.

What they call each other? Bros lor.

Treat it as same mum diff dad issue nia.
Then next time grow up liao, will know the hard truth that the mother and grandfather slept together? :s14:

Sometimes somethings dont need to be explicit

I dont think its in the best interest for all parties involved to share the truth

Especially the kids

Its really really really mind boggling to say the least for the kids since they are the innocent parties involved

By now the truth is the truth, they hide or dun hide, won't change it.

To the 2 boys, it's a matter of if they can accept it.

But the fact is X screwed Y.
