yes i know true... but 8k really nice even i cant game in 8k at least i can watch in 8k...
its like 1080 to 4k the jump can use eyes to see then 4k to 8k also can use eyes to see

if you play 8k in HDR it is more pronouce due to color and lighting.

lol, but in reality youtube not capable of 8k+HDR yet at least not i could find it. mostly only 8K60 SDR or 4K60 HDR due to bandwidth limitation.

8k + HDR is like more movies side at the moment....

Your PC is not using HWA for the decoding, else won't be 100% CPU usage already.

If you play 8K on youtube, most of them will playback with AV1 codec AFAIK, no need to set it.

yes and also the AV1 if I do not set preferred sometime for the same video it will play as vp9 instead.

8k got on YT still got vp9? I don't think it has anymore. Most are reprocessed with AV1 already.

btw try if you can get the integrated graphics to use its AV1 decoder for YT

I not yet test all video for now for vp9 but I recall it happen last year when we test that 8k Japan video.

For this 11700 Mobo I unable to test integrated gfx because it does not have conventional HDMI and DP output on the z590 godlike mobo

Nothing to do with display output.

There might be a way to tap on the iGPU resource for the browser, like on OBS recording where you are able to select the hardware encoding/decoding device, etc.

Ic what you meant now, previously I did tried used the handbrake to encode av1, upload to YT still showing vp9 then I never really test alot.

AV1 Decode Is Already Here But Encoding Is The New Trick​

AV1 decoding is supported in hardware on AMD RDNA 2 GPUs (outside of the Navi 24 based 6500 XT), NVIDIA GeForce 30- and 40-Series GPUs, Intel Xe and Arc GPUs, along with mobile chips like the Samsung Exynos 2100 and 2200, various MediaTek Dimensity SoC’s, and Google’s Tensor processor. Qualcomm is notably absent from this list but has indicated the codec will be supported in its Snapdragon chips starting in 2023. Decoding support is great for content consumers, but without hardware encoding support, AV1 content is much scarcer.
