Nine arrested in Johor break-in, theft crackdown​

JOHOR BARU: Police have solved 32 cases of house and shop break-ins, along with vehicle thefts, after arresting nine members of the “Richi Gang.”

Johor deputy police chief Deputy Comm Abdul Latiff Mehat said seven men and two women, aged 21 and 37, were detained around Johor Baru between Sept 21 and 28.


“Investigations revealed that the gang was led by a 21-year-old man who identified and selected the houses and shops to be targeted.

“The group’s modus operandi was to break into the premises chosen by the mastermind before fleeing with vehicles. They also used the stolen vehicles to commit the crimes,” he told during a press conference at the Johor Police Headquarters on Wednesday (Oct 22).

一名新加坡籍男子在马来西亚柔佛新山的住家遭窃贼闯入，偷走放在车房的两个汽车轮圈，损失约400令吉（约123新元）。
据《中国报》报道，当地警方在上周四（10月30日）接获一名49岁新加坡籍男子的报案。

这名狮城男子指出，上周三（10月29日）傍晚7点，自己在柔佛士姑来顺和花园（Taman Skudai）的住家遭偷窃。
他说道，当天晚上10点30分返家时，发现放在车房的两个15寸汽车轮圈不翼而飞，于是立即报警。
警方初步估计损失约400令吉（约123 新元），并表示未逮捕嫌犯。
这起案件仍在调查中。
