is LeoFoo Village worth a go?

Day4: gao mei shi di. Sleep taichung.

Day7: sleep taipei

haha went gao mei shi di before in apr lol ...
super far, from taichung railway station, we took a bus 1.5 hrs ...
then change to another smaller bus and take for 0.5 hrs ....

then we took the 6pm bus from gao mei shi di to somewhere and change back the bigger bus to taichung lol ...
think the last bus timing is 8pm ... so either u take the hourly bus until 6pm, or take the 8pm bus back ...

Day 2 Xinshe Castle i finished in 1 to 2 hours. Nothing much. Its like a small park with big castle. Maybe can add in Lavender farm, carton king, rainbow village since you already travelled there. Best to rent a car if you in group.

Day 8 maybe can go Beitou or Wulai for hot sping? If you like flowers and going Jan/Feb can go Yuanshan and drop by the new Maji Square.

Going LeeFoo this Friday so don't know. Haha.

Taroko Gorge and Luodong is quite a distance. 4 hours by car depending on traffic. Hualien will be a better place to sleep unless you are doing a touch and go at Taroko Gorge.

Keelung to Taroko Gorge is also a distance!

You gonna do Keelung to Taroko Gorge 4.5 to 5 hours (break for lunch?) and then how long in Taroko Gorge before another 4 hours to Luodong??

Mountain road takes 4 hours. How fast you wanna drive in the mountains?

I took the coastal route. Coastal route will take nearly 5 hours. Awesome scenery though.

Taking train. Just went railway site to check xincheng to luodong ard 1hr 20min. Next time you try rail if traveling east side. Should be faster.

The best way on the East side is by car/bike.
Train ain't get the best out of your trip. Though shorter by 1/2 the time, but seriously means missing out quite a lot.

Next time during spring or autumn, possibly plan from kenting up huadong. Den again only 2 pax, the taxi fare gonna be damn chor

Taroko is a huge area, 30% larger than Singapore,and you just type "Taroko National Park" don't provide a exact point
If you magnify the map, you will find a trail(合歡越嶺古道) and you won't go there. That's the central of Taroko. The route also passes by most Taroko attractions.
Usually the estimation should start from Luoding Train Station and end at Xincheng Train Station, the entrance of Taroko Gorge. There is also a Taroko Shuttle stop at Xincheng station. That the way you will take.
About 95KM , 2.5h by driving.
