Hi guys. In light of the increasing number of people (i.e idealistic young upstarts who feel empowered by their university education) petitioning for welfare and preaching for more inclusiveness , I wish to draw the curtains and unveil my new political party!
It will be christened, PAP(A).
Please have a look at our manifesto.
Why vote PAP(A)? Because PAP(A) cares!
Have child born out of wedlock? PAPA will expedite the BTO bidding process by superseding your bids over that of married couples'! Why? Because you need the help, silly!
We will also grant you all equal privileges that a married mother is eligible for.
After all, it's not your fault that you're an unwed mother. A pesky penis must have surreptitiously squirmed into your orifice while you were in deep slumber!
Don't worry. We understand.
Please do not hesitate to ask PAPA for what you want!
PAPA will indulge you. PAPA will spoil you.
What do you think of when you see the Worker's Party's badge?
A hammer? Are they planning to hammer the nail that sticks out?
THAT'S DISCRIMINATIVE.
How about the PAP?
A lightning. If that is not an ominous symbol, I don't know what is.
STRIKE THEM OFF YOUR LIST OF CHOICES!
Now, let's have a look at PAPA's emblem.
It's so adorbs - cuddly and fuzzy and suffused with love, spice and everything nice!
Look, we are all about racial harmony and equality! 4 different stick figures representing the different races in Singapore. Also, the stick figures have been meticulously designed to look androgynous as we do not differentiate between gender.
A huge, magnanimous hand offering money represents our dedication to being a Nanny (nay, Daddy) state.
A heart-shaped border. Because #LoveWins, and we promote LGBT marriage. Heck, they can even adopt kids and rear them however they wish to. Because #LoveisLove.
Hey PAPA I am unemployed because the job I desire is not available and other jobs do not befit my status! As such, I am starving to death.
IT'S OKAY, VALUED CITIZEN! PAPA provides!
However, please don't ask about how we can back this up financially, dear citizens!
Isn't the purity of our souls, and the sincerity of our hearts good enough?
