Dear all,

Am planning a week long trip during the coming Dec holiday for my extended family (with 4 kids). Hv come up with a tentative itinerary and hope for some feedback from all. We will also arrange for a minibus (if need be) to ferry us to places like Safari world which appears out of reach from BTS,

I hv also yet to book any hotel. Plan to stay somewhere around Pratunam area, hopefully near to Centralworld. Budget for accommodation per day around $80+. Likewise would also welcome any recommendation on places to enjoy breakfast/lunch/dinner etc. Much appreciated in advance. :s12::s12::s12:

Can try those apartment. You can stay grand diamond or urbana apartment or centrepoint :) You can discount codes from hotels.com or hotelclub.com . Now they have 10 - 13% discount codes.

Thanks all for the kind suggestions. :s13:

By the way, would like to check if anyone got the experience of going to the premium outlets in BKK. More info can be found on this website @ www.malloutletthailand.com. Just want to know if it worth the time, effort and $ to travel there. Much thanks. :D

Btw, anyone tried 'The Berkeley Hotel Pratunam'? Saw that it is a rather new 5 stars hotel with competitive pricing....

I have just stayed at berkeley pratunam. Location wise its good as its opposite pratunam market, platinum and central world but the customer service is horrible especially during the check in process. If you really want to book it pls book the main tower instead of the north tower as the north tower require you to take the lift to 11th floor and walk to the north tower. As it is a new hotel, a lot of taxi drivers do not know the location of the hotel

Oh, likely to take breakfast from hotel as need to be early to set off for the floating mkt etc. No choice leh.

Depending on my program, am oso likely to visit Centralworld for another half day or so.

Thanks for the advice.

How is the room n quality of the breakfast? Can we choose the tower when we book the rooms from the onset?

skip terminal 21 and go ayuttaya for one day trip. you can have your lunch and dinner there.

take the 7am train at hua lumpong train station and come back by the 6.40-650pm train. experience the countryside of thailand and the ancient ruins. also the food is nicer at ayutayya than in bkk.

there is also a better floating market at ayutayya than DS floating market.

Thanks. 2 questions. Is it better for me to charter a van coz there r kids in my group? if so, how long is the journey by van? Is the pl kid friendly in terms of food. I think it is a gd idea to visit places of momentum values.

I would not suggest Ayutthaya for you since u r going with 4 kids, with 2 toddlers tat required their usual afternoon nap :)

Ayutthaya involved alot of walking under the hot sun visiting temple ruins, which might not interest the kids at all.

My 2 bahts

How about Kanchanaburi or Chokchai Farm which is educational for kids?

I am planning to go BKK with my kids too. However I will skip Safari Park and go DreamWorld instead. I will also go Kanchanaburi.

You may also consider Kidzania in Bangkok, I read that it is in Siam Square. Your kids will enjoy the role play of occupations. I brought my kids to the KL Kidzania and they enjoyed themselves there.

Chokchai farm is excellent for kids as well as adults :) On the way back to bkk, can stop by at Suwan corn farm, buy corn to eat on journey back, cheap and nice.

Thanks for your recommendation. Just googled KidZania BKK to understand more. Think it is an interesting place. Saw that it was only opened in Mar 2013. More info such as whether the staffs will converse to the kids in English as well as the ticket price would be even more helpful.:D

I went to Dreamworld approx 10 years back and understand that there ain any significant change. Hence decided against bringing my kids to Dreamworld. Likewise been to Safariworld before too. But think the concept is different from our Zoo and would like my kids to experience it.

u hv also mentioned about Kanchanaburi or Chokchai Farm. What is in there over at Kanchanaburi? Chokchai Farm seems to resemble those farm stay. However not too sure about the charges in terms of taking those rides etc. Is Chokchai Farm far from BKK? What is the travelling time, assuming we can get a minibus?
