Abalone is so over-rated

I like abalone leh. Like them in porridge and also have them in whole cook with veggies with the scallop sauce.

I also used to not understand why abalone is so highly rated until I watched a food program which says that food like abalone and sea cucumber are actually tasteless but highly valued for their texture. And if cooked with skill and the correct sauce, they are worth to be called delicacies.

if u dont know how to cook abalone properly, can buy the braised baby abalone. its smooth and soft, just reheat will do from the can

but the grilled version even without any sauce is jin ho jiak, soft juicy and plump
