As at 5pm, 2,164,593 Singaporeans have cast their votes, the Elections Department (ELD) said today.

This is about 82 per cent of the 2,627,026 eligible electors in all contested electoral divisions.

“Singaporeans are encouraged to cast their votes when convenient and avoid any last-minute rush,” said ELD.

Polling closes at 8pm.

SINGAPORE: About 82 per cent of eligible voters have cast their ballots for Singapore's 14th General Election as of 5pm on Saturday (May 3).

In a 5pm update, the Elections Department (ELD) said that 2,164,593 Singaporeans had turned up to cast votes at the 1,240 polling stations islandwide.

This is about 82 per cent of the 2,627,026 eligible electors in all contested electoral divisions, ELD said.

Singaporeans are encouraged to cast their votes when convenient and avoid any last-minute rush, it added.

Polling closes at 8pm.

if polling centre expecting e.g. 100 voters, they received 100 registered ballots, can xiu gang before 8pm?

Likely lower turnout this year due to many going overseas.

Wonder how it will affect the results :unsure:
