You can direct this question to UniSIM instead.

I know a case where a part-time student applied just one month before commencement of the new term and that student was allowed to commence studies upon full payment of course fees for that term.

This could be an exception, perhaps with some valid reasons justifying late application after closing date. Moreover, that was a part-time student; it may be stricter for full-time students.

That said, you can always try to write in to UniSIM. There are still two months if the new term commences in August this year. Who knows, you may be the next case approved?
