Say for instance can a MO refuse to see NSFs to endorse MCs? Like set a number of patients he wants to see in a day? That's ridiculous right?
It's bad enough to do that and they think all NSFs are trying to fake their illness when the problem is a very serious one.
Aren't the doctors being unprofessional? Is there a place where we can lodge complains against them?
NSFs are also serving their two years. Just because they are doctors and have higher ranks they can abuse such authority?

The medics told you the MO already reached his daily quota of patients he will see????

I don't think there's such a thing called daily quota. I was a medic in a medical center before. And we are not reporting sick. Just to endorse MC.

ok. let me rephrase, the medics told you that the MO set a daily quota of how many MC he will endorse a day?

Yeah. The medics say he will only see 15 cases today. Did not say he set a quota or not.

I thought usually endorsing of MC must book appointment 1? And also endorsing of MC is more of an administrative protocol rather than a medical emergency.

I don't see why can't they set a "quota" to how many MC they will endorse a day. if you are telling me they set a quota on the number of patients they want to see a day, i think something is damn wrong. for this i think is ok leh.

I think you are too cynical already. or maybe guilty conscience? don't endorse today will die meh? what's the hurry.

The medic told me that's the limit the MO set. Not sure if about reporting sick or endorsement of MC. And if it is okay to change the date as and when the sergeant likes, then why set it today and not follow up on it? Play around with us?
Guilty conscience? If you have an urgent problem that the specialist is so concerned that he rushed special tests for you. Does that makes one guilty?
And it is not about will die or not. It's about saying one and doing another. Imagine you cleared your day to help bring your family member around just for this endorsement and you get played out. Is it right? SAF has the right to play with people's time and schedule? Their time is different from ours?

Then you better make it clear whether it's the limit set to endorsement of MC only or reporting sick. If it's the latter something is dead wrong.

Your sergeant was the one who booked it for you? Then you be settle with your sergeant.

It's endorsement of MC leh. it's not medical review or consultation. Are you sure you are referring to endorsement of MC? Usually endorsement of MC is just rubber stamp like do nothing much one, are you sure it's not something else?

Who booked it for you?

I am still damn blur about your whole story.

TBH I have no idea what the medic meant as well. But he just said the MO WILL NOT SEE ANYMORE CASES.
I'm talking about the endorsement of MC. Different camps have different standards. For my case it is after the MC then we endorse. For this case we have to endorse before it ends. Gotten the MC ytd, the sergeant told us to report tmrw(as in today). Then as we are otw there then said cannot do it anymore as the MO said he won't see any more cases. I know endorsement is usually just done fast but since it is a long MC, I guess the higher ups want to see how severe it is?
What I'm concerned about is the issue with the MO. He can do what he wants? Happy see not happy don't see? Then the sergeants as well. Told us to do it today but they are not in. And when we go to the next person for info(which is the PC), he said we are making trouble. We did not bypass anyone.

WUT? are you talking about yourself or are you unhappy for someone?

It just seems to me is your Sergeant problem. he did not check with medical centre whether you (or whoever you are talking about) can go endorsement mc and just blindly send you guys there.

Seems more like sergeant fault to me.

Like you said, every camps different standards, then every medical centre different standards too?

I feel that as long as they did not turn away medical emergency cases and if the SOP of maybe not booking appointment for endorsement of MC is not adhere to i feel that the medical centre got every right to not see any more cases.

Go find out the SOP first before criticise for the sake of criticising.

Unhappy for my younger brother. I think you are just coming into make things look like it is our fault? SOP. Do you think every god damn thing is according to the SOP? How many cases have we seen that is not done according to SOP?
We followed directions and instructions based on what was given by the sergeant.
Then I was asking if the MO is abusing his power. Which part is criticizing? If you are unhappy then don't voice our your opinions.

"Whatever floats your boat... It takes two hands to clap." - back to you.

Nope. Nope. Probably many.

Sergeant's fault.

Based on your story, it's more of sergeant's being incompetent. Before we even examine whether the MO is abusing is powers, we have to find out what powers he have in the first place. But in your bro's case, it just seems like his sergeant's fault so blame his sergeant.

No doubt it maybe true that a lot of cases does not follow SOP, but as long as there's SOP, they can choose to follow it and you just got to LLST.

Eh your quotation of my signature doesn't make much sense.

Probably I got emotional, I apologize.
I've seen many MOs and almost all of them are the same, except for the few more professional ones.
They book in late with their flashy cars. Throw their weight around and go for exceptionally long lunches. I was there at the medical center that time and they came in late and there were many people at the medical center.
I know the MOs are also NSFs, the fact they went thru Med school and all does make them out-rank us and they get a higher allowance than the rest of us. But the men are those that went thru all the **** and get injured while they sit in their aircon rooms and have lackeys to do their work for them.
As a medical professional I do not believe they can turn down or set a quota on how many patients they see. If there are too many, you can tell us to make an appointment to do that which they did not. And to turn us down when we are there is not right. I don't believe there are SOPs with regard to that.

It's generalisation.

Wouldn't disagree.

Well what to do when they have they ability to go thru 5 years of med school.

Unless you can find out exactly whether that's the case, it maybe the SOP set by HQMC and if they don't adhere to it, who will be at fault then? If u tell me refuse to see medical emergency i will say go make it big already, but this is endorsement of MC.

Why don't you check with them whether there's really any SOP to make appointment for endorsement for MC? If you did not confirm whether that's the case don't assume. You can make the wrong assumption and it will look bad on you.

And if it is really the case where appointments gotta be made and the sergeants do not know and still tell your bro to go, then sergeant is incompetent.

It wasn't the case less than a month ago when we went to endorse. There were no such SOP then. So it's total BS. No need to make an appointment as well. Besides like you said, it's a fast process. And there are certainly more than one MO there. I see it as an abuse of power and wanna voice out on this.
