So, a few days ago I made a thread asking people for help on where I could purchase a new ac adapter because I thought my old one was faulty and a gentleman username jtjt00 provided me the location and I was really grateful for it. I went down to the place earlier this afternoon and bought the ac adapter.

To prevent confusion, I would provide a brief background for my current situation. About a week ago, my desktop was on sleep mode and when I tried waking it up, the screen remained black. I had then found out that it was the adapter; the LED indicator wasn't lit. So I thought maybe I had accidentally kicked the cord, made it loose, and thus the problem.

However, when I tried reconnecting the cord from the power socket back to the adapter and turned the switch on again, the LED indicator wouldn't light up. And after a day or so passed, I retried and the problem remained so I thought the issue was the adapter so I knew I had to get a new one.

So, today, I returned home to try out the new adapter, it worked at first when it was connected to the power socket that was switched on. The small LED indicator in the corner indicated a green light. However, when I plug the other end of the adapter, the connector, into the desktop, the LED indicator, which was lit at first, immediately turned off. I was baffled.

I left the connector connected to the desktop but when I turned the power socket's switch on again, the LED indicator wouldn't even light up. I tried using back the old adapter; to my surprise, it had same issue with the new one. What I can conclude is that the problem lies with the computer.

I hope to get other other people's opinion or should I just go to the computer repair services. Thanks.
